If you happen to be a diabetic or know one who is, recognizing what diabetic symptoms are is important. This is also true if you have a strong family history of diabetes; you’ll want to be aware of the symptoms in case you develop the disease, too.

Type 1 diabetes is less common than type 2 but it may be more difficult to handle because it involves the inability of the pancreas to perform its job of producing insulin. Despite the difference in cause however, both types of diabetes share the same symptoms.

A diabetic might begin to feel frequently tired, thirsty and may have occasionally blurry vision and wounds that do not heal quickly.Type I diabetes, or insulin dependent diabetes, produces such diabetic symptoms as unusual thirst and increased urination, extreme hunger, unexplained weight loss, blurry vision, and unrelieved fatigue.

Type II diabetes, also known as insulin resistance, is characterized by diabetic symptoms such as unusually long healing time, nerve damage, red and swollen gums, extreme fatigue and weakness (flu-like symptoms), in addition to the symptoms of Type I diabetes. Most individuals who suffer from diabetes, ninety to ninety-five percent, have Type II diabetes.

There are millions of people in the world who are unaware of the fact that they are diabetic. Awareness of the possible diabetes symptom can facilitate an early diagnosis and treatment, and ensure a better health for lifetime. In either cases of type1 and type 2 diabetes, signs and symptoms are more likely to be alike as the blood sugar is high. It could be due to less production of insulin, or no production or insulin resistance. In both cases there is inadequate glucose in the cells, which can be recognized through certain signs and symptoms.

These symptoms are quickly eased once the Diabetes is treated .It will lessen the chances of developing serious health problems.Symptoms of diabetes come in different forms and degrees. Even though you may not be experiencing any noticeable symptoms does not mean that you are not a diabetic. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months for symptoms to become prevalent to where you will notice them.

With a pregnancy, physicians will usually order a glucose tolerance test at a certain stage during the pregnancy and this will help to determine whether you are experiencing gestational diabetes or not; however, even though the initial test may come back negative does not mean that you cannot develop gestational diabetes at a later stage of the pregnancy.

Many healthcare professionals prescribe medications just to treat the symptoms of diabetes. They appear to be convinced that there is no such thing as a diabetes cure. Period. However, the symptoms, the suffering and the pain are only the ways our body makes us know that things are going seriously wrong.

Then, using drugs to reduce the symptoms is neither enough nor safe by any means. Doing so we would have no way to know if our diabetes was getting worse.Only a medical professional can diagnose whether or not you have diabetes through simple blood tests.

The key to treatment is early detection. In addition, preventative maintenance is key to not falling victim to this disease. In addition, diabetes can be inherited through other family members. If you have a history of diabetes within your family, you may be at greater risk for this disease. In addition to the above information, it may be required to check up symptoms that may be caused by consequences of diabetes or other related conditions. To get a complete picture of these and other possible diabetes symptoms — there are plenty of them — you may want to download a complimentary ebook from the author.
